    Beautify Our Bucket!

    Join us at the market on May 22 for a community art project!

    As part of the Artist Boat’s “Beautify the Bucket” campaign, we’re inviting all our local friends to help us decorate our GOFM-themed barrel while you’re shopping at GOFM!

    Barrels will be added to Galveston’s beaches where they will be enjoyed by visitors and encourage proper disposal of trash to reduce aquatic trash.

    Their goal is to help the community have a better idea of how nutrition and exercise play a role in their health & offer simple modifications to help people take control of their health.

    About Child Advocacy Center of Galveston County

    After a child has reported alleged abuse, the Center coordinates interviews and agency collaboration. This period is critical, not only for the preparation of a criminal case, but also for the ability to minimize trauma to the child and family. Instead of going to a police station or government office building, the child is brought to the Center to be interviewed. Interviews are conducted in a child-friendly environment where both children and non-offending family members can feel more comfortable. Learn more on their website>

    About Galveston Historical Foundation

    Galveston Historical Foundation (GHF) was formed as the Galveston Historical Society in 1871 and merged with a new organization formed in 1954 as a non-profit entity devoted to historic preservation and history in Galveston County. Over the last sixty years, GHF has expanded its mission to encompass community redevelopment, historic preservation advocacy, maritime preservation, coastal resiliency and stewardship of historic properties.
