Position Summary: The Social Media Assistant (SMA) is a contract position that will support GOFM in expanding its social media reach and capturing unique moments at our program sites.

Part-Time: 5 hours/week

Salary: $300/month

Reports to: GOFM’s Director of Operations (DOO)

Description:

The Social Media Assistant (SMA) will be responsible for following and implementing social media campaigns of GOFM’s social media accounts by staging photos and creating content to follow guidelines.

SMA will capture and deliver high-quality photos at the GO Farmers Market, Young Gardeners Program, and as needed, events and our other programs. Photos will match the brand.

The ideal candidate will be highly self-motivated, an excellent communicator, a versatile & creative writer, have an eye for detail, have experience creating content and is a team player.

Visit GOFM Sites and capture photos of program highlights and community
Upload photos to Later & Google Photos for internal use
Assist with the design and execution of social media campaigns
Create social media posts and distribute content such as blogs, videos and press releases on social media
At maximum, contribute up to 15 posts per week
As needed, support team at live and online events

Skills & Qualifications:

Self-motivated and in-tune with trends
Interest or experience with photography, video, and in social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, & Youtube
A commitment to creating inclusive content for diverse audiences.
Ability to communicate concepts and ideas in a clear manner
Superior interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
Sharp attention to detail
Preferred, Bachelor’s degree in digital communications or a related field such as Advertising or Journalism
Preferred, knowledge of social media analytics
Preferred, Experience with Google Drive
