  • Pollen in Love with Pollinators

    Pollen in Love with Pollinators

Learn how to bee a good steward of the native insects & critters of our island! Bring the kids & buzz on over to our garden in Menard Park for hands-on activities like a pollinator scavenger hunt & bee-hotel making station, giveaway plants/seeds from Tom’s Thumb Nursery, & lots of learning from local pollinator-obsessed experts!

This event is a drop-in party where folks can flutter into whichever activity twitches their antennae. Leading the events is Galvestonian Chris Smith-Gonzalez, an avid maker of local pollinator habitats & an advocate for local flora & fauna.

We’ll also have guest partners: City of Galveston Parks & Recreation and Native Plant Society of Texas who will have more info on how you can support our garden friends.

All activities are free & appropriate for all ages. Cheers to Tom’s Thumb Nursery for their generous sponsorship of native plants & seeds for giveaway to the lucky participants!

Please RSVP  so we can “bee” prepared with enough buzz-worthy activities and treats!
