At this event, you can join other nature-lovers for an early evening lecture + adventure. Learn about native pollinators, receive a tutorial on the app iNaturalist, and get started spotting pollinators right away by touring the McGuire Dent Victory Garden just outside the Rec Center!

Every September, folks across the country compete to see who can spot the most pollinators in their region—last year, Galveston racked up several hundred pollinators, but we know we can best last year’s numbers! Learn how to enter the ‘contest’ & give our local bugs and birds the spotlight!

Two years, already? Time flies when you’re having fun!

On March 4 from 11a-1p, we’ll be celebrating the 2-year anniversary of our Victory Gardens Program at MECC with a little Community Day + tasty celebratory treats!
