Happy holidays from all of us at GOFM!

Thank you for investing in the local economy this holiday season by continuing to shop with the dedicated, hard-working small businesses that make up the GOFM marketplace. By shopping at the open-air and GOFM To-Go, YOU are fulfilling the hopes of the people who make the cakes, grind the coffee, brew the booch, harvest the kale, steward the bees, raise the chickens, bottle the elixirs, tend the cows, form the dough, cut the broccoli and simmer the pots.

This market is unique and special because of the remarkable people who make up our community. Y’all are a smorgasbord of caring, food-loving, inclusive, and steadfast folks, and y’all are the butter to our bread and the honey to our tea.

  • Update on COVID-19 from the Executive Director:

Update on COVID-19 from the Executive Director:

    Dear folks,

We have received several inquiries about the status of our markets & other program events.

As of today, March 11th, we are operating markets as scheduled. SNAP, FreshBucks & BonusBucks will continue to be distributed by the GOFM Info Booth.

Our Young Gardeners Program will also run as scheduled, but all Real Food Project events (cooking classes & community dinners) are canceled until further notice.

We are in close communications with the Galveston County Health District regarding the threat of Coronavirus in our area and its possible effect on our community. We are taking all necessary precautions recommended by the CDC and remaining in contact with GCHD so that we take every step necessary to keep our community informed and safe.

If you have questions about any of these developments, please contact us at info@gofarmersmarket.com. We encourage everyone to practice smart hygiene protocol as advised by the CDC & use proper handwashing techniques, avoid close person-to-person contact and utilize hand sanitizers within our venue or in other public spaces. We urge you to stay home if you are running a fever or have flu-like symptoms.

As always, we are committed to the health and safety of our community. This is a rapidly-evolving situation that we are closely monitoring, & we are doing our utmost to maintain best practices. For immediate updates, please continue to check your email, our social media pages, or our website.

Thank you for your support, go wash your hands and please stay tuned!

    All my best,

    Casey

Why diapers? Diaper need is a silent crisis in the United States. Diapers are a basic need for children, as essential to their health and well-being as food and shelter. Yet nearly 1 in 3 families in America struggle to afford diapers to keep their infants clean, dry and healthy. Diapers are a large expense — costing up to $70-80 per month per baby.
