  • Everyday Soap Company

    Everyday Soap Company

Say hi to Leti & James (son)!

    About Everyday Soap Company

I’m Leticia Garrett owner of Everyday Soap Company LLC. Prior to selling soap I was a reimbursement nurse at a skilled nursing facilities. I left my full time job to pursue my soap making business. I found it to be so rewarding and look forward to attending Galveston Own Farmers Market on Sundays.

When did you first get started?

We started a few years ago, I wanted to make products with simple, natural ingredients. We had many misses and messes but finally we found one recipes we love to share. We have also included products like deodorant, dry shampoo, acv hair rinse, sugar scrubs and lotion bar to our weekly inventory.

What inspired you to start your business?

It all started as a hobby in our kitchen we choose to make hand made cold processed soaps. All while looking for a healthier alternative to apply on our families skin. We wanted to create products that would nourish our skin. We found making handmade soaps was a great start towards natural products and loved them so much we wanted to share with everyone. Our ingredients are simple, and easily recognizable and local when possible. Environmentally friendly

What is your favorite thing to make/produce?

Cold Processed soap is my favorite product to make. The process takes 4-6 weeks per batch to complete. When we blend new scents, then watch customers stop by to smell them and choose what they like. That is what makes our day! Plus they are all made here in Galveston, Texas.

Where are you from/where did you grow up?

We live in Galveston now, but I grew up in Pasadena, Tx.

Share a fun fact about yourself you’d like your customers to know!

I love pets! Currently we have 13 pets

Dogs, ferrets, coati mundi and tortoises. There’s so much beauty in each one of our pets.

  • The Farm at Bald Hill

    The Farm at Bald Hill

Say Hi to Treasure and Justin!

    About Farm at Bald Hill

Nestled in the Piney Woods of East Texas sits The Farm at Bald Hill, a family farm focusing on regenerative agriculture and sustainability with a goal of changing the way people eat.

Justin grew up splitting time between Houston and East Texas. As much as he loved the city life, the country always had his heart. Influenced by family and friends at a young age, he was inspired by the benefits of eating healthy but it wasn’t until a few years ago that he started digging into the root of what that truly means and how to get there. He did a lot of reading and research. And a lot of (mostly healthy) eating. Seeking a major life change, he sold his IT company and decided it was time to move to the country and get his hands dirty.

Treasure grew up in Louisiana with nothing close to a green thumb or a farm upbringing. She’s always cared tremendously about nutrition and the environment so it makes perfect sense that this is the avenue in which her life has taken. She’s currently seeking a masters in sustainability with a focus on agriculture in hopes of helping other farms shift to regenerative practices.

When did you first get started?

    2018!

What inspired you to start your business?

We both wanted a life and career change. A shift to something that would make an impact on both our health, the health of our community and the environment. It’s hard work and we have no idea what a “vacation” is but it’s worth it. Getting to meet so many incredible people on a regular basis who are likeminded when it comes to values around food production and health is the best part of this journey.

What is your favorite thing to make/produce?

    All of it!

Where are you from/where did you grow up?

Treasure grew up in Lafayette, Louisiana and Justin in Houston, Texas

Share a fun fact about yourself you’d like your customers to know!

Treasure has a side hustle as an unofficial king cake reviewer. Justin is the reigning high kick champ among those who have the honor of experiencing.

    Full of Intention

Say hi to Full of Intention

    About Full of Intention

At the heart of Full of Intention, an enchanting online boutique known for its exquisite handmade products, stands its founder and creative force, a gifted fiber artist, herbalist, and candle maker, Melissa Vail. With a passion for crafting unique items that resonate with personal touch and spiritual significance, this dynamic entrepreneur has transformed a love for art and nature into a thriving business.

From a young age, Melissa, discovered an affinity for the arts, especially in the realm of fiber. This early interest blossomed into a specialization in macramé, a form of textile art that involves knotting techniques to create intricate patterns and designs. Each piece of macramé available at Full of Intention is not just a product but a testament to her dedication to preserving and innovating this traditional craft.

But Melissa’s talents don’t end with fibers. As an herbalist, she blends a deep understanding of plants and their properties with an artistic eye, creating products that are as beneficial as they are beautiful. This knowledge is intricately woven into their creation of altar tools, each designed to bring a sense of harmony and peace to personal sacred spaces.

The art of candle making is another sphere where she excels. The small hand-poured candles found in her boutique are more than sources of light; they are emblems of warmth and tranquility, each one crafted with the utmost care and intention.

Full of Intention, has become more than just a boutique; it’s a destination for those seeking items that embody the beauty of handmade craftsmanship and the power of natural elements. Melissa’s journey is one of continuous exploration and creation, driven by a commitment to quality and a desire to bring a touch of magic into everyday life.
