Ingredients

1 bunch swiss chard

1 tbsp olive oil

4 cloves garlic

Red pepper flakes (to taste)

Salt and Pepper (to taste)

1 tablespoon lemon juice
Directions:

Wash the chard and trim ends of stems.

Cut stems out of chard leaves and make two piles; one with stems and one with leaves.

Rip chard leaves into 2” pieces, cut stems into 1” pieces.

Peel 4 cloves of garlic and slice thinly.

Heat olive oil in a medium-sized pan over medium-low heat, add garlic, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes. Cook until garlic is lightly brown about 2 minutes.

Add in chard stems and cook until softened, 4 minutes.

Add in chard leaves and lemon juice. Cook about 1 minute until leaves are wilted.

Enjoy as a side dish with chicken, steak, beef, eggs, or any other protein!
